Maybe, it's just me, but I believe that customers would prefer monthly billing cycles that last exactly one month, instead of the current 30 days.

I believe that payment due dates and the ability to keep track of remaining data left in the current billing cycle are just easier to keep track of when the renewal date is set on the same day number (ie. 1st, 5th, 27th, etc.) each month.

Now, I'm fully aware that Public Mobile sends remdiners and there are autopay options, but monthly/3 month billing cycle lengths has got to be more simple than the current 30 day/90 day setup.

just a thought...

1 month billing makes a lot more sense to me as well. Keeping track of data used on Android would be a lot simpler if PM used a monthly cycle, although I know one generous person has made a data tracker app (available on Google Play) specifically for PM customers.

the data tracking in android unfortunatly, will not account for the 90 terms, and the data that rolls over.   Example if you have the 12 gp plan for 90 days, and set android for 4 gb / month. unused data will roll over, but android will just go to the next month and track 4gb for the next month.  the data tracking apps are the way to go.

Sorry @computergeek541, but I couldn't agree less with this idea!  I know it's hard for new customers sometimes to understand how it works but one of the things I love about PM is how it's different.

I'm on board with @srlawren on this one.  I like the 30 days, because every day is the same in the period.

in a monthly plan, you pay more for a month like February, and less for January, March, May, July, August, October and December (all comparisons per day).

So what if we have 5 or 6 extra days at the end of 12 30 day plans, or 4 90 day plans?

Yeah, I prefer the number-of-days plans as well.  That way I know that I am paying precisely the same amount per day.  It's a little bit of a pain that my payment doesn't come out on the same day of the month every 3 months, but that's a pretty minimal pain.

There's an app on the Google Play store called Data Witness by IWIK.

it allows you to monitor your data over a 90 day period... very useful.

If you buy it, it's a dollar.  However if you message IWIK here on the PM Community, he's been generous and will give away a code to redeem and you get it free.

Here's the link to the original post... I highly recommend this!
