Looks like samsung S7 and J series phone doesn't work in public mobile network. Please confirm for second ipinion.  Thank you.   I use IMEI checker in the web page...  ``We are unable to find your device.``  https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-started

The IMEI checker used by Public Mobile is not the most accurate.  There have been reported issues by other customers.  I suggest using this website which has a more comprehensive and accurate hardware database.

@smistula Dig out the detailed phone specs and compare to this post for compatibility:

I suspect most variants of UNLOCKED Samsung Galaxy S7 and J7 will be fine on 3G, but LTE is likely hit & miss.

You could just order a Public Mobile SIM and try it in a phone of interest. As long as you see a message such as "No Srrvice" and not "Enter Unlock Code" it should be fine.

Did you buy your phone from samsung directly or one of the carriers? Also if it works on telus it will work on PM just so you know.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and I can confirm it does work very well with Public Mobile.  Model SM-G930F (global).  I bought mine unlocked.  It's compatible with PM's 3G and LTE networks.

Marking this one as 'Not for us' as we are a BYOD provider, plus we know Samsung S7's do work with Public Mobile, just the question of the variant of the S7.

We have noted the IMEI checker does need improvement and are working on implementing a different one.

I had an issue with a Samsung S7 too!

It was a complete pain in the axe.

It was listed as a clean IMEI with Bell, Rogers and Wind, but for some reason was not listed as clean with Telus.

Telus/Koodo/PM said it was not flagged on their system, and that it was clean and should work because it was not a Telus phone.

I had a Telus Security guy from head office call me directly and he didn't know why it worked....so yeah, the internal system seems a bit wonky.

Long story short, I had to sell the phone to a Rogers user and go with another phone that worked on PM. Total pain.
