Ottawa ON - Gatineau PQ

This idea has been posted before (even by myself once) but really needs another look

It seems silly that a call originating in Ottawa & terminates in Gatineau is a LOCAL call, yet those on provincial calling plans are unable to do so

A provincial long distance plan SHOULD cover a LOCAL call, regardless of what area code is

Whether Public makes an exception for those living there or lets anyone in ON dial it (after all with a Province wide long distance plan we can then call Gatineau from ANYWHERE in ON)

This issue needs to be resolved; many people make this daily commute and it sounds really weird repeatedly explaining that on a Province wide plan they can dial a city hundreds of kilometres away but can not place a LOCAL call

@kav2001c here is an other bump from me. I believe that PM is really late on implementing this, we have talked about this a couple of months ago and it is still considered a new idea, I mean it has been sitting here for a while ...

It would be nice to see them at least switch it to "thinking about it" since this idea was first pitched in late 2016 and has received a lot of support.

@SWM I would prefer a fixed solution

The provincial plans have too many issues with calls not working (I actually opened a support ticket about not being able to dial specific numbers and was told they expect fix in 90ish days)

That's too long no matter how nice they are about it

@kav2001cthree months to fix? I hope they are looking at implementing some sort of fix for the border issues with the provincial plans at the same time.

The numbers that are having problems are 647 

I just visit Ottawa & Montreal occasionally so this Idea was of interest to me

The people who live up in Ottawa get more benefit from it, I was just crusading for it 🙂

Of course, there are 2 viable work-arounds for now at least...either add an LD add-on at $8/200 mins or $15/400 mins OR if you have 3 features with PM, changing from Province-wide to Canada-Wide is only an extra $5/month after discounts...

@pm-smayer97 you have to understand in this area you need calling for both since the 2 cities are essentially merged
