Get rid of it - too complicated. In today's day and age, it really is too complicated.

Only have Cda wide. Right now Cda wide is typically $5/month extra on 90 day plans. Make it $3/month (or $2) extra but force all new account onto it.

eg The common 90day $120 prov wide, SMS, 6GB would be $129 Cda wide. Obviously the $135 Cda wide plan would go away as well

Most people will remain on Prov Wide because they don't to give up the 2016 Fall promo.

If there is an actual extra cost to carriers for Cda wide, I am sure most users will remain inside te province just as they are now. So really they are getting a few extra dollars/month. Yes, you would be giving a small discount to those already on CdaWide.........

@smp99 I'd bravo that!  😉

Honestly though, as much as there have been many times I'd wished I could bravo replies in public lab, it might get a little confusing as people may think they are voting up the idea when voting up a reply.  I think that's why it's intentionally missing here.

I see the point of this and agree.  I can see why PM still has province wide and Canada wide as stated more price points plus they can sell addons to those at a lower price point.  I don't travel a lot but have been out to Ont. twice in the last 3 months for work and have used my LD addon.  Now I made the calls and next time I will have my wife call me to see if it deducts from my minutes as that has been a question around here lately.

When it comes down to it @will13am  stated it is  transfering data packets why can they do data Canada wide but not voice?

@ShawnC13 I think the point is, they totally can.  It's basically a marketing distinction.  The incremental cost of carrying a call across Canada vs. across [insert your province's name here] vs. across the street to your buddy on the next block, I believe, is extremely small.  This is why I think the right move is to replace province-wide with Canada-wide but at the same price point.  I'm quite sure this would draw in some people tempted by the prov-wide plans but hesitant only due to that restriction.

I like the idea of making Canada Wide calling a standard feature at no additional costs. I'd love if that was backported to all existing plans to. It was actually one of the sticking points for me when switching, but I bit the bullet and switched anyways. Of course about a week later I needed it, but luckily I was able to use someone else's phone to make the call. For me it's really about peace of mind, whether travelling or an unexpected call. It sounds like this is the case for most people, so in actuality it wouldn't cost PM much more at all, as it wouldn't be a feature that isn't heavily used. I understand that they'll probably lose money on add-ons and plan upgrades, but really I think that will be marginal too. It really is just one more point of comparison that people have to make when deciding to switch off their existing plan/carrier and does add more complexity/confusion when going through the options.

@sravya006

When was the last time you made a payment for PM service?

If the last time you login to your account is in December. Did you keep up with your monthly payments?

If longer than 90 days then your account will be closed, SIM will be useless and you lost your number.
