Hi, I think it would be a good idea for PM to tell its potential customers their policy on international roaming in other countries besides US. If the policy is to not include other countries since the plans are cheaper PM should make it clear. It would earn more customers that way. Honesty is the best policy!

Maybe they don't know yet or are in negotiations but aren't sure of the outcome.  You don't want to say you are going to have it and then something happens and no agreement gets made.

I agree that it could be more visible, but it is clear when reading through the forums and plan section that Public Mobile as a no frills prepaid only carrier is not offering international roaming other than in the US at this time. Even having international roaming with a full service carrier (which is usually on their post paid offers) means that it is most of the time more cost efficient to buy a local prepaid SIM or an international roaming service as outlined in other threads.

What part about being a no frills service implies that they're even thinking about international roaming?

Public Mobile had NO ROAMING at all before Nov 2016 (I don't remember the exact timing), but that didn't stop customers from signing up.  US roaming is the first step to any other package, and they've only just started this and offering it at a really good price for limited usage.

Local SIM, or a carrier with $5/day roam like home is your choice right now.

I think PM should Consider having the Global Roaming, and perhaps actually LIMIT the NO Frills to things like No Call Center, Stores or Phones and Grace periods and Credit Checks, BUT Everything else fair play, Reinvent Postpay, Prepaid style

Exactly. No Frills should not imply No International roaming like others understood or interpreted it for.

I think plans are cheaper cause everything is done on line, no call centers secific to PM , no stores, no phones.... Thus no overhead expences ... Other than sim cards.... Not because theres no intl roaming. ... That would be an add on just like US roaming addons.... U dont pay till u add the feature.

I enroll knowing theres no intl roaming yet other than the US. just like any "young" companies ....theres room for improvement.... hope they do add intl roaming....... Since we have to buy our own cellphones and knowing intl roaming is unavailable... the solution for now is....

Firstly id like to say, to have the ability to get/pay $50-60 plus tax on plans with 5-6 GB and unlimited calling am happy and greatful. No subsidised cellphones to keep prices down, no problem...so i buy a dual sim cellphone... price range 200-600 depending on choice. They make dual sim phone version of everything from LG G4s to samsung galaxy S8.... (a samsung galaxy Note 4 i think sells about $450  cant remember now.) Therefore, when i do plan on travelling, ill ebay a local sim (a few weeks before) of the place am going... Activate it and pop it into sim 2 slot at home .... And be on my way to my destination... And have cell service there. Roaming issue solved. All it cost me is 50-70 ... Depending on the plan, usage, and duration of stay.

Till PM starts having intl roamimg thats what am gonna do... when they do have intl roaming then ill just log into my account and add the addon 🙂

So far, so good with PM.... great signal... great curtomer service online (thought am gonna go nuts not physically talking to a person on the phone).. and great prices (with the savings i spend on a better dual sim cellphone  ........ No BS service fees ... Am content. Best thing is the ability to get points and data buckets on the referal system....if this was a testing ground for "the best way to run or provide cell service rewards system... Well they nailed it. Who doesnt want free data buckets added or a loyalty program system for cell service.

Just my opinion. 🙂
