You may have luck if you can use wifi on your phone to visit http://www.unlockit.co.nz/unlockit/ and choose public mobile, this handles the apn settings for you as they may be hidden on some phones.

Does other service work, such as phone call, text? 

If they do, go check out the apn setting.   

Restart/reboot the phone after anything changes would fix many issue.

Did your data ever work? Verify in selfserve that the account is active and has the right plan added.

First thing to check is the APN settings.
