As per your plan of https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/ab/plans/50for8GB-3Gspeed, it says:

  • UNLIMITED Talk Canada & US

but when I go into my account is says its an add on. Found this out today by making a call to the US and it saying I didn't have this add on. Problem with advertised package? or something wrong with my account?

@codyb, can you double check that you have the US Talk included in your plan?

When the promo was last posted, it originally did not have the US Talk included, it was Canada-Wide only.  You may have signed up on the Canada-Wide only plan without realizing it.

EDIT TO ADD : By check, I mean look in your My Account at your plan detail.  It will say there.  If you don't have the US Talk listed, you can still future-date a plan change for the next renewal to get the re-designed plan.  In the meantime, you can add the $8 or $15 Long Distance package to make the call.

Wow, I had no idea. This linked thread was super informative @stonechucker! Thanks for that.

Is this in your contact list?  Try editing the number to remove any non-numeric characters, and the extension if it exists.

yes, seems to be an area code not on the list of no-calls re: (970) 484-XXXX

@codyb, are you dialling the 1 first?  Have you typed an extra digit or left off a digit?

There are a few area codes and exchanges that can not be called, as they are premium services that Public Mobile will not connect to.
