Purchased International Add-on but doesn't work

I've just purchased the international call add-on but when I tried calling +44 (London, UK) , I got a notification from TELUS saying that the number is in a calling area that is blocked. First of all, what does it have to do with Telus, and 2 why is London blocked?

Sorry for joining so late. I suspect the problem is the UK number requires additional fee to connect. Many UK numbers are like this and the caller must pay the fee. As PM is prepaid only there is no factility to bill for such fees so the number is blocked. Anyway, that is my suspicion.

Here are some examples:

Numbers starting 084, 087, 09, 118

- Calls to personal numbers starting 070

- Non-mobile 07 numbers:

074060, 074061, 074062, 074063, 074064, 074065, 074066, 074068, 074069, 074171, 074172, 074176, 074177, 074179, 074181, 074185, 074186, 074188, 074390, 074391, 074410, 074411, 074412, 074414, 074415, 074417, 074418, 074515, 074516, 074517, 074574, 074577, 074578, 074579, 074582, 074583, 074584, 074588, 074653, 074655, 075200, 075201, 075203, 075204, 075205, 075207, 075208, 075209, 075370, 075373, 075375, 075376, 075377, 075590, 075591, 075592, 075593, 075595, 075597, 075598, 075599, 075710, 075718, 075890, 075891, 075892, 075893, 075898, 075899, 077001, 077442, 077443, 077444, 077445, 077446, 077447, 077448, 077449, 077530, 077552, 077553, 077554, 077555, 078220, 078221, 078222, 078224, 078225, 078226, 078227, 078229, 078644, 078727, 078730, 078744, 078745, 078922, 078925, 078930, 078931, 078933, 078938, 078939, 079112, 079118, 079245, 079780, 079781, 079784, 079785, 079786, 079787, 079789

Interesting hypothesis, and thanks.

But my number is +44 02 07 35xxxxx. I might as well say it, it's to one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants, not some questionable fee per minute line. It's really not that complicated. I was able to make the call on one of the VOIP apps, confirmed my reservation in time with the English lady, and still have some of that free 3-mins left.

I just want my refund. Yes, even if it's only back to my Available Funds.

The only way this is not a scam is if I can get a refund. But it's not looking good given how long the moderator has NOT been replying.

Agreed with the moderator response times. With the large interest in the two promo plans going on they have disappeared from the previous slow-time participation here.

You wouldn't likely get a refund other than back on your Available Funds.

Four hours and no reply to my private message. 😕

I'm not sure who thinks this mode of Customer Service is superior than a live person.

yes, tried 011 44 instead of +44.

@kvasir, I think your best bet is to send a private message to the @CS_Agent  and see if they can determine/resolve the block issue.

Do you see the 400 minute add-on lower down in your overview page?

Do you see the cost of the add-on still in your Available Funds?

Did you restart your phone?

Maybe try 011 44 etc.

1) PM uses the Telus network so it's possible that they are using their services to provide the LD add-on.

2) Not sure. Do you know if the number you are calling in the UK is a VOIP line? The reason I ask is because on some VOIP providers you can block incoming calls geographically so maybe that is what is happening in your case.
