Is there not an option to pick a package for an add on by what we want? I wanted a phone for my child with just unlimited talking and texting no internet..

You can get the base 15 dollar plan, it has unlimited text, unlimited incoming call minutes, and 100 outgoing call minutes.

Realistically, if the kid is under 25, they'll be using anything other than the phone feature. Back in the day, parents told us to have our friends call us to save money on the phone bill, so that's an option.

You can restrict the data with parental controls, and use the data solely for a tracking app to monitor your kid, if that's your thing. Keep in mind, if you disable data, the kid won't be able to send MMS.

Plans are still very customisable in the add-ons section of your account:

Unfortunately there isn't an unlimited talk and text plan without data. However, you could try going to the mall. I believe a carrier would have a $25 unlimited talk and text special. Those types of plans aren't usually offered online.

@Rascal1  There currently not a plan with just those features but you do have a couple of options.

First is the $15 plan with unlimited texts and incoming calls and 100 outgoing calling minutes. Purchase the $5/500min add on. Unless your child is a talk-a-holic the minutes would carry over til depleted and be purchased again. That would pretty much cover your request for $20/30 days. Or the $25 plan has unlimited texts and calling but it does come with 500mb of data. Both of these plans when signed up for autopay will come with additional data 250mb and 500mb respectively. With the $15 plan if you dont mind not recieving the $2 reward there is no issue. If you do want to have autopay and pay $18 the low amount of data you could supervise the use limited to a weekend or allow music or game downloads in one session once a month to deplete the data and there would be no access. The $25 plan is trickier as it can come with as much as 1gb with autopay. Again you could allow a one session download or streaming of a movie or tv shows to again deplete the data. Or you could hotspot the data for your own use. There are parental control apps that could be used or not enable the data on the phone but kids are pretty tech savvy these days...or if calling and texting is it get them a phone that is not data compatible with public mobile.

@Rascal1   the 25$ plan is  does come with data  but if you set the apn incorectly the data wont be usable.

another option could be the $15 plan unlimited incoming calling and unlimited sms + 100 outgoing , add  the $5, 500 minute calling addon and its a pretty close to what you are looking for.

@Rascal1Nope there is no build your own plan at Public Mobile anymore.

I think you want unlimited talk and texting but no internet the $25 Chatr plan is the closest. https://www.chatrwireless.com/web/chatr.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=PlanBrowse
