It depends on your combo. You can if it’s more than 15$

If you absolutely need to post in a thread with the last post being 5+hours old, please provide accurate information instead of repeating the wrong posts.

As @computergeek541 mentioned, to receive incoming texts you have to be on a plan with text feature, and, as of January 2020 at Public Mobile, text feature  = unlimited incoming texts at no extra cost. It does not matter what price point the plan is.

It depends on your combo. You can if there is a us text pack

They're unlimited on any plan that includes any amount of outgoing text messaging. If someone has a plan that doesn't include text messaging, incoming text messages just wouldn't be received.

There is extra charge to receive incoming texts, like incoming calls, as the sender is paying for the charge to delivering a text message to a Canadian number.

Even the cheapest $10 50/50 plan has the unlimited incoming text message.  Therefore, there is no change to receive international texts as long as your plan has the unlimited incoing texts.

No, but if you are expecting an mms text, you need to have data enabled.

Note that MMS are still free and unlimited.

Any data consumed for MMS does not count towards your plan allowance.
