Does it cost anything to change a phone number?

Hello

I just moved to a new province and need to update my phone number to a local phone number in order to hook up a buzzer code into the apartment. I have the following questions regarding this

1. Does it cost anything to change a phone number?
2. Do I need to change the SIM when I am changing the phone number?
3. How much time does it take to change the phone number?
4. How do I verify that my mobile number has changed? Do we get a confirmation from Public Mobile?

A bit of a techtard here,but I managed to do it,and it costs nothing,and is changed instantly

And if you click on the tab "plan and add-ons", it shows your phone number underneath! 🙂

No cost to change you cell number, once a month. Use same sim. Change is immediate. Log into My Account ...look to the right for Change Number.
