Hello everyone hope you are all doing well.
This my first day and it's not starting well. I have 8gb with my plan and i try to use some data
It's telling me that i'm off line. Not sure what to do to make it work.
I'm this close to go back with virgin.

Yes, we don't need the serial number either but they are good for you to have.

Can you take pictures of the APN screen settings and upload here so we can take a look?
Either do a screenshot or take a picture using another phone.

On a sticker somewhere? Battery compartment? Maybe down in some About phone menu item somewhere. I'm not too up on Android.
I'm just trying to see if your phone is compatible with data frequencies here.
Maybe another way is...did you bring this phone from another provider and if so which one?

@isabellelabelle Please make sure your data is enabled from the phone. Your phone should be unlocked.

Well...this is a little more of a hands-on kinda place. Unlike the more expensive full-service kinds of places.

@isabellelabelle you've gotten a number of helpful hints already. Some phones require special steps to get working, so if you're still out of luck, please let us know the brand and model of your phone. Some older iPhones require a workaround to set the APN, for example. Most Asus models seem to require manual APN entry, based on the info that @sheytoon provided above. And many LG models require either a network reset (try that first) or even a full factory reset (back up anything you want to keep first, this will wipe your phone back to out of the box configuration) whenever you change providers. There may be other quirky models too, but please let us know what you're working with and we can try to point you in the right direction.

One other relevant setting to correct is network operator similarly located in sim/network settings. If you still have virgin network selected manually there's your problem. Set it to automatic.

@isabellelabelle...are the other features of your plan working. Are you able to send recieve calls and texts ? Are you using a new phone or did you bring it over from a previous cell provider. Hang in there...don't give up yet.

Sorry to hear you're off to a rocky start. Hopefully what people post here will provide a clue as to what's going on. But as the previous poster said, the more information you can provide the better.
Are you on the $50 plan? Wondering if talk and text are working. Also, which phone do you have? Dumb question, but is it unlocked? Did you check the IMEI number to make sure it works on the PM network?
