Does anyone have the proper link to the PM phone checker? I see several links listed but none of them take me to the phone checker anymore. Did they move the page?

That's not necessarily true for some models. As Public Mobile customers cannot use VoLTE, HSPA compatibility is required or phone calls won't be possible. A particular phone could be comptible with LTE but not the HSPA network used by Public Mobile.

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

You can check your network frequency specs for your phone against these for compatibility.

@Butaneinmyveins   What phone do you have in mind?  maybe we can help.

Please note the list on PM does not cover every phone that works on PM.  There are too many phones not there.  if you don't see yours, let us know and we can try to help

I don't believe that list is kept up to date any how. But here is the link: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-started

Always good to check whether a phone will work with any provider, especially Public Mobile. Use more than one source to be sure.
