I just set up my account and on the package that came with the SIM card it says I have to update my data settings after? What do I have to do?

My phone set it up automatically. Was working right away without changing any settings.

You might not have to do anything...I didn't. Is your data working?

@karah After you make the changes, make sure to restart the phone just in case.

If you have an iPhone make sure you install the latest carrier settings and also do a network reset. If you have an Android phone and it can't setup the correct APN entry then you need to add it manually.
Make sure data is turned on and you have the correct APN setting. This is the Public Mobile APN setting that you will need:
Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Leave blank
Port: Leave blank
Username: Leave blank
Password: Leave blank
Server: Leave blank
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Leave blank
APN type: default,mms,supl
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: GID
Don't forget to save these settings and then select this APN as the active one.

What kind of phone do you have as some need other tweaks?
