I am a new user today but the public sim card does not connect my cell phone.  I have three older cell phones.iPhone 4,  Samsung  GT-S5360 and a Motorazr v3.  It doesn't work in any of them.  How do I activate the sim card?  please

@jamesnicoloff

You had a tech team member from public mobile call you and help you get the sim card to work in your iPhone? Or did an apple team member help You?

If you feel it was public mobiles fault that you couldn't get the sim card to work in your iphone4 then contact the moderators and ask for a credit equal to about one week or 25% of your plan. If your on the $40 plan then ask for a $10 credit or the $15 ask for $3.75. Worst that can happen is they say no.

The apple iPhone 4 is now working fine.

since I had 8 days with no solution even though I asked for help on August 9 I thought I should get a credit or a new start date of August 17, 2020 when a technician in Calgary spent over an hour with me on my landline to try different things until I finally got connected to Public.

@jamesnicoloff

What was the cause of the issue? Which plan are you on?

@jamesnicoloff I don't think asking for a rebate or to move your renewal date or even to get some freebies for your inconvenience is asking too much. Reply to the ticket you were using asking about it.

One of your technical advisers finally solved the problem and as of August 17 I have service.  Can I have a credit for the 8 days I didn't have service?

Samsung GT-S5360 is compatible with Public Mobile as it has UMTS bands 2 and 5. The iPhone 4 is also compatible frequency-wise. The only one out of that list that absolutely would not work is the Razr v3.

@gpixel @jamesnicoloff

The iphone4 should work as long as you do the software updates.....is the iphone4 locked to the former provider? Do you know which provider it came from?

What are  the messages you are getting when you put the sim card in each phone? No sim? Sim card error? No sim card detected? Sim card error? Sim card lock?

@jamesnicoloff did you activate your SIM card? You have to activate your service before the sim will work.
