Is the alcatel Sparq II compatible with the network?

Yes.

It is SIM compatible.

It is radio compatible on 3G - Talk, Text, and (slow) Data.

It is not radio compatible on 4G - no Talk, no Text, no Data.

 

Most Telus/Bell/etc towers support or overlap 3G and 4G service, but there's a new trend of upgrading network hardware to 4G/LTE only in some areas.

 

If the phone came from T-Mobile then it's likely carrier-locked. It needs to be unlocked to work on Public Mobile (or any other network).

 

And of course it can't be blacklisted (reported as lost, stolen, etc).

@rivendell it says it will work with 3g but not lte so you'll be able to make calls and text and use data but the Data will always be on 3g
