Remember to do the easiest thing first and reboot your phone.

As stupid as that sounds, that's all that was required for my data to work.

Agree.

Old phone SIM card slot is under the battery.  Replacing SIM will reboot phone by moving battery out/in.

Nowadays. battery are not removable and SIM card is hot swappable.  Reboot is a must to get phone working properly after changing SIM card.

@Nammy  That is an Android One phone and will work with PM data without any issues.Make sure data is turned on and you have the correct APN setting. This is the Public Mobile APN setting that you will need:

Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
MVNO type: GID

The rest leave blank.

Don't forget to save these settings and then select this APN as the active one.

@Nammy , your mmsc. Should be aliasredirect

Contact a moderator and check about your device model with them. Sometimes if your device is too old data does not work.

You may need to setup the PM APN settings if you use data.

APN Settings:
Name: Mobile Internet
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMS proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri,dun
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: GID
MVNO value: 4D4F

Make sure you enable data.  Even though MMS does not use data, you still need to have it enabled.
