@sheilaharrison1  That phone should be compatible. From the specs it appears that it supports two sim cards so maybe try using the other sim slot to see if it makes a difference.

@sheilaharrison1Just to clarify, you mentioned you are seeing Telus instead of Public Mobile and you cannot change your MVNO settings, what does those settings say? Do they match the APN setting posted?? They are related and likely to be software (ie Polaroid related, just because the phone is frequency compatible doesn't mean the software will play well with the network).

MVNO means Mobile Virtual Network Operator... Think about it as "store brand" groceries like Compliments @ Safeway and President's Choice @ Loblaw group. Public Mobile IS a MVNO of Telus. Those settings you mentioned get the phone to switch betwen Telus / Public. If they dont' match then you know the issue. The least painful way I would recommend trying your SIM card with a phone that is known to be working with Public just to iron out whether it is Public Mobile (if so you will need to patiently wait for a moderator)... or it is a phone, so you can quickly grab another phone model and get on with life. If you are stuck with the Polaroid, and the values don't match, then you would need to deep dive into why the values don't match and more importantly how to override them.

Android is really fragmented, it is always the minor details deep in the software configuration that will catch people unaware... If you are sure you are going to stick with your Polaroid phone, I would recommend you find a support forum for that specific phone.. there will be quirks. In the end you do get what you pay for. Polaroid is not a large outfit, they just churn out generic versions of electronics and hoping people who use them are not very sophisticated.

@sheilaharrison1

The good news is that your phone should be compatible.

HSPA+; LTE 2/4/5/7/17; GSM/ GPRS/ EDGE 850; 900; 800; 1700 (AWS) 1900 MHz

Just need to figure out configuration.  If you are unable to do network reset, you might want to try factory reset.

@sheilaharrison1 can you try your sim in another phone and another Sim in yours?

Hi, my APN settings seem to be the same except the 2 on the name Public Mobile. How do I do a network reset?

@sheilaharrison1  Name doesn't matter as long as the APN is sp.mb.com. As others have mentioned make sure you have data left by going online and checking. If you don't see the data counter on the first page it means you used up all your data.

If you have an android phone to do a network reset go to settings -> System -> Advanced -> Reset Options and select Reset Wi-Fi, mobile and Bluetooth option.

If you have an Andoid phone, go to settings and search for "reset".  It will show you factory reset and network reset.  Select network reset and follows the prompt.

If you have a LG phone, you need to do a network reset after changing service provider before your get data working.  After network reset, restart your phone and your APN will be initialized for PM.  If not, you need to manually enter the APN using the following link as a guide.  https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/public-mobile

@sheilaharrison1 it should be in your phone settings

Hi @sheilaharrison1 , you can go to https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/public-mobile to check the APN settings on your phone. Select the model of your phone to see the exact APN required. Restart your phone after and hopefully your data should work then

Did you put your sim in a different phone ?  When you log into your self serve account under data and add-ons if there any amount showing or is it blank.  If it is blank then it means you have used all your data.
