I am considering getting the OnePlus 9R from India through family once the borders open.
The bands for the 9R in the specs on the India Website are:

Does anyone know if this phone will be compatible with Public Mobile ?
Want to be certain before making the purchase.

Thank you in advance for any help.

@sheytoon

Thank you for some reason I get those ones mixed up all the time for some reason all the time! I will correct.

@apurvanataraj it'll work just fine. You have 3G bands 2 and 5, as well as LTE B2, B4, B7, B12. That is more than enough for full coverage.

@darlicious looks like you highlighted GSM bands instead of WCDMA in your reply. Also, there's no LTE B1 or B19 in Canada.

@apurvanataraj

These are the matching frequencies you have with public mobile that will allow you to have all of your services working (calls/texts/data).

Edit: thx to @sheytoon these are the correct bandz for compatibility...

I reached out to OnePlus directly. They say their phones are globally unlocked, and I need to check with my carrier (Public Mobile) on the compatibility. How do I get a Public Mobile moderator to help me figure this out?

@Dunkman there's no Band 1 in Canada

the spec looks good according to the bands it has and the bands PM needs...

@apurvanataraj

Those specs should work with PM.

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).  band 12, band 5, band 2, band 1, band 4
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).   B2, B5

3G = 850 (5), 1900 (2)

4G = 850 (5), 1900 (2), 700 (12/13/17/29), 1700/2100 (4), 2600 (7), 1700/2100 (66)
