Ulefone Note 9p compatibility with public mobile?

Keskin

Hello,

I'm interested in this phone: Ulefone Note 9P Amazon.ca

Looking to confirm that it will work with Public Mobile in Canada since it is not on the compatibility list. Will it work completely or not have coverage in some areas? I really don't understand frequencies, bands and all that stuff.

Also, what is the best way to actually check if a phone will be compatible with any given carrier when it doesn't appear on their compatibility list, how do you figure it out manually?

@Keskin

The best way is to check the specs on the phone and compare to what Public mobile supports. As stated above, this phone will be compatible with Public mobile.

Here is your phone:

3G bandsHSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100
4G bands1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 19, 20, 28

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

3G = 850 (5), 1900 (2)

4G = 850 (5), 1900 (2), 700 (12/13/17/29), 1700/2100 (4), 2600 (7), 1700/2100 (66)

Check out this phone compatibility checker, @Keskin :

WillMyPhoneWork.net - Check if your phone works on a network

Virtually any phone manufactured for the North American market in the past few years will work -  if in doubt, the real test is to 'borrow' a friend/family member's SIM who is with Public Mobile, and insert in your SIM slot to see if the phone will function as desired.
