@Bunzy  Is it possible that buddy locked is previous PM sim card on that phone so whe you insert your PM sim card it's asking for an unlock code?

@Bunzy

You may need to send a private message to moderator for a PUK code.

FYI

PUK code stands for “Personal Unlock Key.” It's a unique code that is linked to your mobile phone's SIM card and is usually 8 digits long. You will need the PUK code if you have set a SIM Card lock and entered the wrong passcode 3 times. Your phone will become locked, and you will need the PUK code to unlock it.

So what's the timing here?

What SIM and service was on the iPhone?

What SIM and service was on the Samsung?

What SIM is trying to be used in what phone?

Certainly moving SIM's from phone to phone should be no problem (other than unlocked and compatible).

What is the exact message displayed?  Perhaps it's for the new SIM rather than the phone?  Is your sim already active in another phone?

Samsung is giving unlock codes.

  1. Start a live chat session from Samsung's Contact Us page: http://www.samsung.com/ca/info/contactus.html?CID=AFL-hq-mul-0813-11000170
  2. Inform the rep that you would like to unlock your S4 and provide the IMEI & Carrier info
  3. In a few (2+) days, you will get the unlock code via email.

Can you get it from where you bought the phone? If not I believe you can get it by contacting Samsung.

Hi, do you mean to unlock the phone?  If you are currently with another provider, where you got the phone from, call them and ask for the unlock code.  They can no longer charge you for this service.

@Bunzy, if your phone is SIM locked, you need to go to the issuing carrier for the phone and ask for the unlock code.
