Hi.
I just switched the Sim card to my kids new phone. She can text me, I can't text her. I can call her. How can I make the texting work foe me?

Perform a reset of the network settings on the phone.
Is this an iphone?
To check if your phone number has been set to send and receive messages, go to Settings > Messages and tap Send & Receive.
