I am checking to see if my friend can use his older Samsung gt-s7560m but for some reason I do not see it listed, not sure what I am doing wrong because I notice previous questions people were able to use this model in years past. Is someone able to verify for that this model is compatable with PM, not sure what I am doing wrong,cheers.

@paul10 A11 works for sure. which means the list is not updated.

For your friend, best option is try your own SIM in that phone to make sure it is not compatible.

Reset to the 3G and APN settings as it is in your android phone.

 @paul10 : Is your friends phone on Rogers/Fido/Chatr? They're still using some old frequencies that will be getting mothballed soon.

@softech: he did say his A11 works here.

Thank you so much, I will put my PM chip in his phone in the next couple days & see if his works other wise he will have to buy a new one. He was just using the phone as a work phone but may have to upgrade like the rest of us lol. Thank you

Thanks but I did not find his phone on the list, strange enough I did see my own A11 on the list either

PM does not update the list a lot.

A11 is a phone sold in Canada .. as long as yours is a North American version, it will work in PM

Galaxy A11 | Samsung Canada

@paul10   your model should be Galaxy Ace 2 x, which is on the list, but it said incompatible

(sorry, my earlier post was not correct)

@paul10   Ace 2x?  this phone should work on PM.  Someone from 2015 used it here before

PM device check also confirm Galaxy Ace 2X is compatible

update:.. it is not compatible

but weird that someone back in 2015 said it works..

k you, I will check it out right away & let you know.

Best test is to put in an active PM sim and see if it works. Looks like it should work as long as the phone isn't reported as stolen or blacklisted somewhere.

@paul10

Is this the phone?

3G bandsHSDPA 900 / 2100

If so, this phone will not work with Public mobile.

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

3G = 850 (5), 1900 (2)

4G = 850 (5), 1900 (2), 700 (12/13/17/29), 1700/2100 (4), 2600 (7), 1700/2100 (66)
