Would a public mobile chip work in the new I phone 12?

One might think that's the case, @Smnewt, but there are some devices out there developed for overseas markets which may not work (or at least not work well...) with the Public Mobile network.

Minimum recommended phone specs are:

  • 3G UMTS/W-CDMA/HSPA: B2 (1900) and B5 (850)
  • 4G FDD-LTE: B4, B12

@Smnewt .. there is still chance that PM SIM not work on some cell phone, if the cell phone does not have the required bands for PM, then PM SIM won't work there

@Keihan  unless you're getting the device brand new, check here to make sure device isn't reported as lost or stolen... especially if getting it from someone you DON'T know:

And before activating, be sure to get a referral code from a friend or family member currently with Public Mobile to save $10 on your 2nd month's service.

Yes, PM SIM would work on iPhone 12.

@Keihan : Almost certainly. If sold in Canada for the Canadian market then even more so.
