@edwardrichards

You initially had to choose a new number rather than port your number directly because you were with Koodo prepaid? Virtually all others can be ported directly I believe.

I had tried to port a number over but finally had to use a new number which now works. Thanks

Registered meaning you completed the activation process, found here:

https://activate.publicmobile.ca/

Did your credit card get charged?

If so, then did you create your SELF SERVE account, found here:

https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/

Do this, if you did not create it, and see what your account status says.

@edwardrichards  The number gets assigned during the activation  phase regardless if you chose a new number or port in a number. You should be able to make outgoing calls. If that is not the case then select the chat bubble bottom right of your screen and ask the Public Mobile moderator team for help.

Can you see what number is appearing in your Self Serve account? This is to ensure that the SIM is properly activated and the number was provisioned.

@edwardrichards What do you mean by "I registered my phone"? If you activated your sim/service a week ago, you would have picked a number at that time. Did you port or bring a new number with you? If it was a landline or VOIP it can take a week. Your old account has to be active for PM to port in your number. Otherwise you have a stuck port. You need moderator assistance. You can contact the mods one of 2 ways. Click the question mark bottom right of the browser as shown in the picture and open a ticket through the automated ticketing system;

or you can contact them through direct messaging at the following link (note this way may take longer for a response);

In either case you should receive a reply within 48 hours though typically they are much faster. Watch the envelope icon top right for a reply.
