I have a Telus prepaid Alcatel U50 which I have had for 2 years.   I can't find it on the Public Mobile website's compatibility list but since it is a Telus phone using a Telus carrier and Public is owned by Telus...  will my phone work??

You are welcome @MyNewCarrier  please note, if you plan to transfer/ port your number, your  Telus account must be active to port your number. The port will close it once its completed.  May I suggest buying a SIM from Canadian cell supplies https://canadiancellsupplies.com/collections/latest-products/products/public-sim-card . Currently its $3.33 each. Stay safe.

Thank you, everyone 🙂  Yes, I have been using Telus (I just let my pay as you go expire) and it still shows I am on a Telus network .... so,  I will buy a sim and give it a try.  Thanks again.

@MyNewCarrier   Public Mobile's compatibility checker is "incomplete" 😊  so not all phones will show there, but if it worked on Telus or Koodo, or even the Bell network previously then it should be fine here.

@MyNewCarrier  if its this phone https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/0af845fc then it has the required 3g and 4g LTE bands and is 100% compatible with PM.  Also, if it works with Telus it should work with PM. Stay safe.

@MyNewCarrier hi yes your phone is compatible with public mobile. any device from Telus or Koodo should work. unless the device doesn't support 3g
