B&H has the Cat S42 on sale for US$219 about $285 cdn. That's $100 cheaper than the best price I could find in Canada at Visions Electronics on sale this week for $388. Dual SIM with a dedicated Micro SD slot. Very little bloatware. Strangely, the camera comes with no flash otherwise pretty good specs with this phone. 32GB is a little weak but nothing an SD card can't fix. Limited 2 year warranty.

I can't help myself.....now does one pay minimum $100+ for the screen repair on the Sonim XP-8 that still has some issues and dual SIM that you can only use one or the other but never together?

Or buy a new Cat S42 with two year warranty extended to 3 with my card and working dual sim and the water, dust etc.....resistance intact for about $300 all in? Just leave the Sonim as back up?
