My headphone jack just stopped working on my Moto G, bought from Public Mobile last May. What should I do?

Did you recently upgrade to Lollipop? If so, did your headphones work at any time after the upgrade?

Using a very bright light shone into the headphone jack, look for rust.

If present, it needs to be removed, in particular by someone skilled in rust removal.

test your headphone on another phone if it does not work purchase new one. This issue can happen sometime on  headphone  that has  microphone or inline controller that use  3 ringsones,  earphone  that does'nt have microphone works  fine most of the time
