Hello,

  • I need help to use my data for using my phone.
  • Actually, I usually use WiFi for my phone at home and save PM' data for emergency only.
  • Recently I realized that my PM'  data does not work on my phone.

Phone noticed me "Internet is disconnected " and I could not use GPS with PM'data. I have had hard time on the road to go new place.

Please help me, what is problem and what I should do?

Thank you

I agree with above.

Make sure the phone is configured with Public Mobile APN Settings. Restart.

This is part of the setup a wireless retailer would usually do for you. At Public Mobile you have to DIY. It's a one-time thing, you would only have to do it again after your phone operating system gets modified or hard-reset.

@QUEStions1 : Maybe post screen shots like you did at first of the settings you currently have and we can help from there.

Regarding the other aspect of your initial post, have you considered pre-loading "offline maps" (i.e. Google Maps) to use when navigating?

You can do so and then open your map service on your device and navigate (with Location enabled) without the need for any data availability.

I've used this extensively in Canada, and even historically in the US, and it's never failed me yet.

Make sure mobile data is on and check your apn settings here:

hi @QUEStions1 ,

What type of phone do you have?  If you go to your setting page, under Cellular, make sure your network selection is Public Mobile and that Cellular Data is On.  At the top of your phone next to the bars, does it say Public Mobile?

@QUEStions1 : What is the make/model/submodel of the phone? Of course the obvious one of that you have to turn on mobile data. Has it ever worked here? Likely an APN issue. Or Apple folks can chime in on that front.

Edit: slow

Hi @QUEStions1 ,

Try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode

*reboot your phone again

*network reset

What phone do you have?

And what Mobile Network are you connected to on it, looks something like this:

Hi @QUEStions1

Have you ever been able to use data on this device?

Is your Mobile Data toggled on?

Is it possible you've reached your allotment for available data use?  You'll need to check your self-serve account under Data and Add On to see if there's any left.  (EDIT:  if you've used your data allotment, the line item will not display under this area below)
