Imei not found

Hi all,

Thank you for the quick answers on previous question.

I received my sim and upon activating I'm being asked to verify the phone's imei.

On doing so I get a message saying it's not found.

I had been told my Xiaomi redmi note 7 would work just fine.

Shall I ignore the message and proceed with activation?

Regards

@Maxlemax  try resetting your network setting and restarting your phone.

How To Reset Network Settings on Redmi Note 7

  1. Navigate to “settings” on your Redmi Note 7 and then tap on “More”.
  2. At the end of the screen, you will see the “Network settings reset” option. Just tap on it.
  3. After that, tap on WiFi, Bluetooth and Mobile Data.
  4. Tap on “Reset settings” button and enter the pin or password if asked.
  5. At last, tap on “Reset settings” to confirm the action.

If it works then enter these

APN settings:

Thanks

Well, no. I got the phone new.

I guess it's to check whether or not the given imei will support the network or something along these lines.

It actually appears it doesn't since after activating I'm still getting 'No network'..

What can I do?

@Maxlemax so you are trying to verify if your phone is stolen?  And it says that your 15 digit imei doesn't exist?  I just tried mine. It says that my device has not been reported Lost or stolen. Make sure you use the imei and not the meid number

As for porting it's transferring your existing number from another provider to Public Mobile.

Here's 4 articles on activation and porting and the Refer a friend reward  if you need them:

Hey!

Not sure what porting a number refers to.

I'm just clicking the 'click here' imei verfification button suggested to use on the activation page prior to activating and the message I get is that the phone's not found

@Maxlemax are you trying to port a number? Give them the cell number to port, name on the account and the provider account number.  Ignore everything else. Fyi you can get imei by dialing *#06# on your phone. Welcome to PM. Stay safe.
