It is a bit long on the tooth but still should be very usable.

This looks to be a good phone at a good price.   Asus historically, has made some horrid, unreliable phones, (they made some good ones also) but with a vendor like Costco selling it, that is less of an issue.  I personnally would not get one, because Asus insists on their own horrid user interface, but at this price point, that can be forgiven.

Thanks - not bad for something with a midrange CPU, and Android 9 to come soon from what I read

I'm not sure about how to up-to-date or accurate the information I am seeing is, but it looks like this phone is currently running Android 8.0.  In this case, that could be considered a good thing because you might be avoiding the Android 8.1 APN nonsense that some other Asus device users have encountered.

At that price, It's not bad at all.  If it were water resistant, which it isn't, I'd probably get one for myself.

And, don't forget, sometimes the same products are available in warehouses at a lower cash and carry price. Sometimes worth checking if you visit warehouse.
