Good phone option

This is trending in the hot deals forum on RFD.  The price is excellent for what you get.  The Snapdragon 835 was the flagship CPU one generation back.  My essential phone has a 835 CPU and it still feels very capable.  The seller feedback is very good.  It's Canadian seller and so shipping time is quick.

Just to add to the discussion, be sure to use the promo code PHONEME to get that price.

There is currently a sale on ebay for 20% off (up to $50) using that coupon code.  Wireless.Canada just happens to be one of sellers who you can buy from to be elilgible for the promotion.  If the Nokia 8 isn't for you, there are also other devices available from Phones.N.More, Cellntell, and Gadgetag for which you can use this same promotional code.

You do not live in Nova Scotia!  There are towers in Nova Scotia that have only 2 bands, band 1 for 3G and voice, and band 12 for LTE.   These areas in Nova Scotia do not have the population density, so these bands are more than enough for the purpose.

If you are in a denser area, the lack of LTE bands will likely not be noticed on this phone.  In Halifax, I see band 2 and band 4 LTE used a lot, of which this phone supports.

Overall, a good phone for the price.  The problem with this phone is that it is a international phone, and does not support all the Telus LTE bands, like band 12, which is something you would desire if you live in the sticks. https://www.frequencycheck.com/carrier-compatibility/EVyWcL/nokia-8-dual-sim-td-lte-cn/telus-canada ... I have used the Telus info, because the Public Mobile info is inaccurate.

Band 12 is not that popular.  Missing it is no big deal.  I used the Oppo find 7 on this service for over a year with only band 4 LTE.  It was fine.  Personally I classify any model with band 4 as being compatible.  I have noticed that band 2 and 5 are making big inroads.  700 MHz is useful for getting signal deep into buildings, but it sucks for bandwidth.   The Telus LTE bands are found in Wikipedia.
