Hi guys,

 

I'm not a new user, and have been using Public for several years now. Just this evening I began to experience a problem where my data refuses to connect to the network. I can see it trying to connect, but it won't stay connected. This started out of the blue when I went to send an MMS text, and was greeted with the "Message not sent: service not activated on network" message below my text. MMS has worked flawlessly for as long as I've been with Public. Until now, that is...

 

I have tried:

- Resetting the phone

- Re-entering APN settings/profiles for Public

- Restoring default APN settings

 

Just so there's no confusion, I'm on autopay and not a new customer, so this shouldn't be a billing issue. For context, I'm running Android 10 on a Pixel 3a, using Android Messages.

 

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there,

My Samsung was working just fine, and now I cant seem to send or receive picture texts.  Just made the switch from Telus, and kinda regretting it now.  Used Simon, but there isnt a MMSC Proxy field, so I cant complete the new network.  I just dont understand why it worked, and then it didnt.  Doesnt give me a lot of confidence..... anyone else have this issue?  HELP!!!

+1 data outage in BC. 

This outage isn't just of LTE data. i can't use data on LTE or HSPA. It keeps disconnecting every few seconds.

My wifes Iphone is with telus and it works normally. I am not sure what is wrong, but it is looking like a Public Mobile issue, or at least here in Calgary.

 

Still working for me. I guess I'm lucky lol

I tried all these things as well so it's definitely public mobiles issue. I hope it's resolved soon because I cannot use my phone!! 
has anyone submitted a ticket?

Same issue. Salmon Arm, BC. Cannot use my phone at all except on wifi. I hope this gets resolved quickly..

Same issue here in a Victoria BC. Tried resetting phone, removing SIM card and resetting network settings. 

Network issue at moment. Many people's data is not working.

 

Wait awhile till it's fixed

My daughter's data isn't working although her account is active, she has plenty of date remaining and turning her phone off and on hasnt worked. She can make and receive calls and send text but not imsg. Any ideas on what the trouble is?

hopefully the fix it soon.

@Lilmatt67 I'm guessing it's a network issue. Likely other Bell/Telus customers are affected.

Same issue with my phone. Cole harbour NS. any idea whats going on? been with PM for over a year, first issue ive had.

LTE is down but switching to 3G only works for me. Mississauga

Texts working fine here. Just data not working.

Same issue with several Iphones with the family.

@SomeGuyHere I'm also having issues. I think it's a system problem. Could send a ticket I suppose, but I'm sure @CS_Agent is already working on it.
