Current Customer upgrading phone

Hello

Been with Public for a while now...time to upgrade my phone.

Ordered a refurbished one through Public Mobile.

When it arrives do I activate it as I would if I were a new customer?

Thanks!

Jonathon

You will get a free sim card with your new phone. Just keep it as a spare or use it to refer a friend.

Great point, @darlicious

@jonathonmatula ,  don't activate the new SIM card you'll get with the new phone.  If you DON'T have the existing SIM card you were using on the soon-to-be retired device, all you need to do is use the "change SIM" feature under your profile on your self-serve page.

However, if you still have the SIM card, now you got an extra one to refer someone else to Public Mobile.

No problem, @jonathonmatula

I added a couple pics to my post for reference.

If the sim is the same size as your current phone then just swap the sim.  If it is a different size then punch out the appropriate size and log into your account to change the sim then put the new sim in your phone.

Nope.   You just put the existing SIM card into the new phone, and you're good to go.

Make sure the correct SIM card size (using adapter on/off) is being used in the SIM tray for the new device.
