Omidy just moved from New Zealand. There's no number to keep or port.

Welcome to PM @omidy. You can also use Mastercard debit. Stay safe.

Here's 4 articles on activation and porting and the Refer a friend reward  if you need them:

1. What you require to activate https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/what-you-need-to-activate
2.How to activate https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/activation-account-set-up
3.How to port https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/choose-your-phone-number
4. Refer a friend https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/the-refer-a-friend-reward

@omidy

          For your activation you will have to pay with a voucher unless you have a friend who will let you use their card and you pay them. Going forward you can use a visa/debit card thru a normal chequing account. But the fastest and easiest one to get would be to set up a koho account. They are an online bank that you can set up in 5 minutes. Just choose it for savings, add your info, choose the standard visa/debit card and they mail it to you in 5 to 10 business days. (Mine came in 5 days.)

           You can use a referral code to get additional cash back over and above the regular 0.05% (1% for both you and the referrer.) Public mobile has partnered with them to get an additional 2% cashback when you pay your public mobile acount with koho. If you private message me i can tell you which members currently use a koho account. ( I signed up but I don't actually need or use the account.)

We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and Visa Debit cards that have been issued by Canadian or American financial institutions and are associated with addresses in Canada or the U.S. If you are using a payment card, leave the apartment/suite number in the payment information section blank.

You can also go pick up a voucher at many locations such as gas stations and corner stores. They would likely take your overseas card or cash. See link below for locations.

You could also consider recharge.com. They even accept PayPal.

Don't forget to use a referral code when activating your sim for a $10 signup bonus.

Welcome to Public Mobile 🙂

Cdn Visa or Mastercard. You can activate with a payment voucher you can get at retail locations. Use on-line payment vouchers from recharge.com or ding.com.

If you didn’t register a card at activation, you can do so by signing in to self serv. Once signed in, click on the ‘Payment’ tab, then scroll to the bottom of the page and select ‘Register my Credit or Visa Debit Card’. We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and Visa Debit cards that have been issued by Canadian or American financial institutions and are associated with addresses in Canada or the U.S. If you are using a payment card, leave the apartment/suite number in the payment information section blank.
