Charged an extra fee for using VISA

I tried taking $20 from my VISA card and adding it to Available Funds. It worked but when I checked my VISA account, I was charged $22.60. I was not told of any fees. What is that about and how to I avoid it?

Hi

The extra fee that they charged you is for the tax amount.

Hi, it looks like 13% tax was added.

@eshasaib  - Everything you see in your self serve is pre-tax.  Even credits (auto-pay, loyalty, community rewards, referral credits) are before tax - which is good.  They are not bill credits.

Oh, that makes sense. It was not appearing on my Public Mobile account but appeared on my bank statement, so I was confused. Thanks, team.

That would be 13% sales tax. Completely normal.
