This would mean that only $10 was taken out of your balance. I'm assuming that you have $10 in rewards? Since the balance was reduced by $10, that does mean that you plan should have renewed. Otherwise, the system wouldn't have taken any of your balance. I suggest make a small $1 manual top up to see if that resets things.
