Where can i get the sim card

Correct. You will be charged $10 plus tax for the SIM card but don't ever have to activate an account if you don't want to. And you could then always resell the SIM card to recover some of your $10 investment.

On the flip side, if you are pretty much ready to activate I would check with the various dealers asking if they give the SIM card for free if you activate through them. Some will, some won't. And by activating ASAP you can likely still snag the second month free promo that might end at any moment now.

You would get charged for the sim card if you order through PM or Amazon.  Some retailers will give  the card for free if you active a new account in-store.  I believe Walmart does this.

If you can wait then you could purchase a sim card and wait for any promo deals to active a new account.

You can order one directly from PM or through Amazon.  If you live near a retailer then you could purchase one from them.  You can search using the store locator.
