Hi

I switched to public today in a store. But I am not able to receive calls or use texting

@Eliezer175  the port should have been completed by now.  Reboot the phone once more time and try calling yourself.

Port should have been completed by now.  

 

With a stuck port, you should not be able to receive calls or texts.  You should be able to call out and send out texts.  Are you able to send texts?  What about data?  

 

Might want to try a few basic troubleshooting advice:

1. Reboot phone

2. Network reset on phone.

3. Toggle airplane mode on, then off

4. Remove Sim card, re-insert and reboot phone.

weird part is I can make calls but not receive or text

Did you try to port your number over from another carrier?  How long ago did you attempt to port?  It sometimes takes a few hours for mobile carrier ports to complete.  If you are porting from a landline or VOIP service, it can take several days.  

 

If you attempted to port, did you keep your old carriers SIM card in your phone to respond to the confirmation text from your old carrier to authorized the port?

if you still not working do one thing Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,

and do rebooting your phone take your SIM card out and waiting for a 2 minute and put it back and turn on -This one is quick and simple.

 

what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

 

or can you do try reseat the SIM card

1. power off your device

2. take out the SIM card,

3. wipe it clean SIM card,

4. put it back and power on,

5. toggling airplane mode off/on,  

 

and do again Rebooting your phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.
