can't hear or talk

Good day. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 on the basic talk and text plan.  Activated the SIM yesterday and all went well. The phone appeared to work in all regards until, whoops, I tried to make a call. It dialed perfectly from my contacts but when my spouse answered, I could not hear her and she could not hear me. There was no sound whatsoever, Until yesterday the phone was on Rogers network and calls were normal.

I'm hoping I'm missing something obvious. I've done that before.

@PRB glad I could help.  Never underestimate the power of the power cycle!  Seriously, it fixes so many weird issues that crop up.  I've developed the habit of rebooting my phone every 5-7 days as a preventative measure.  Works wonders.  🙂

@PRB dumb quesiton, but did you try rebooting the phone?

You're saying it connects, but no audio is transmitted in either direction?

That techie wonderment (reboot) worked. I'm glad I'm not posting under my real name.

Thanks guys.

See now you won't have to talk your wife into trying swapping lol

Glad you are working Cheers Lemew

The swap is for the sim cards to test if yours works in her phone and if hers works in yours.

I am sure you have a strong sim relationship so a quick swap will test the waters so to speak.

Let us know how it worked. Cheers Lemew

No joy with headphones. My spouse is very unlikely to support swapping sims.

I'll reboot it now. And the phone rings and appears to connect but as you said, no audio in either direction.
