bring back the phone compatibility check using IEMI

So right now I can't know for sure if the phone my brother in-law has is compatible with PM as checking through IEMI is no longer available through the PM website. The best match I have on the website is "Samsung galaxy express prime" while my in-law phone is "Samsung Galaxy Express Prime 3 J3 2018." Can someone tell me for sure of this phone is still compatible in PM?

The compatibilty checker does check compatibility but never did a good job at it.  It gives false positives for compatibility and blacklist.

The IMEI checker only checked if the phone was black listed and has been known to not always being reliable and returning false positives.

You can check willmyphonework.net

If the phone has been purchased from a Canadian vendor or provider and is unlocked it is compatible with PM.

Absolute minimum for a phone on PM to work is 3G B2 (1900) and B5 (850).

LTE B4, B7, B12 (or B17) are important for data to work.

Our resident network guru @sheytoon has layed it out nicely here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/LTE-network-fundamentals/m-p/198799/highl... and here is the official version: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Getting-Started/How-do-I-know-if-my-phone-will-work-o...
