I am trying to transfer my number to Public Mobile from another provider, but it says that it was unable to transfer the phone number I entered. What can I do about it?

@anabelchw ,

Hi there, did you already complete the SIM activation process and your credit card got charged?

If so, depending on how your chose to port/transfer the SIM, perhaps when you entered an account number or IMEI number incorrectly?

Ask CSA to check on your port if this is the case.

To contact the Public Mobile Customer Support Agent (CSA)_Team, there are two methods to reach them:

1 -  Faster - Click the bubble comment circle on the bottom right-hand side of your screen,

or use this link to: Get Help With SIMon the Public Mobile chatbot

OR

2 – Slower - Use this link to:

Private Message to Public Mobile Customer Support Agents (CSA)

Check you number here.. it will tell you if your number is eligible to port into PM

It's all based on if Telus is present in each city or "Rate Centre"., city where your number was originated from..

It certainly wouldn't hurt to perfom this check, but the requirement for the customer to check the phone number on the Public Mobile activation or self serve website may possibly be checking the same list.

@anabelchw

Which city is the phone number from?
