Hi,

My friend who is with Fido, is interested in switching to Public Mobile. She was wondering if she would be able to keep her current number. Thanks!

@s_leah  The best way for her to switch would be to register with Public Mobile and select a new phone number, then she can go into her self-serve account and port her number from Fido. This will allow her to not have service interruptions while it's being ported, and it's free to do. Remind her to use your PM phone number as a referral for you to get the rewards.

Yes, it's called porting and can be done when activating your SIM or at a later date by signing into your account on-line.

Yes, she can keep her number.

When activated new SIM/account, she can port her number over from Fido.  Easy to do.  Just need her Fido account number and Fido account holder name and of course, fido number.
