Some internet sites do not work

Hi, I just activated my sim card. I had some issues doing it, because it wasn't recognised. I waited over night and this morning it seemed to work.

WhatsApp works, Instagram took 10 seconds, but now it works perfectly.

I could send text messages.

Ecosia (a browser such as chrome) doesn't work, it says there is no connection.

Chrome: some internet sites work, some don't.

I removed the SIM card, waited a minute and put it in again - now calls and texts work, but internet is still the same.

Did anyone has the same issue? What should I do?

Thanks, Bea

I would uninstall and then reinstall those apps that don't work.

I don't know what that means what you wrote under your "edit", sorry 🙈

You have the Huawei P20. Is there any other model information you can provide? I'm wondering that your phone isn't PM LTE compatible. That would then be better with 3G.

Although I see your signal indicator in the top left that might suggest you're connecting to LTE.

@beawolpert

Set it for LTE

the phone will switch to 3g during talk

But you did be connecting to LTE

publicm mobileis on LTE they just slow it down and call it 3g which confuses lots of people, only talk uses 3g, if you don't have LTE tower around you will automatically switch to  3g

Perhaps you're in a weak LTE spot. Maybe there's a sweet spot to be in.

Maybe try using 3G HSDPA data rather than LTE.

Edit: what's the actual full model designation? It might not be fully compatible with PM.

Yes every time you do such changes reboot.

Also can you post your APN so commonty can take a look

Is there any logic in site selection, once with video or heavy Java or anything that could sort sites that do vs don't

That is really strange.

Do you have network reset? You can try if you do.

Also can you test your sim in another phone to see if it's phone settings or account issue.

Try rebooting your phone.

Please check your APN settings

Maybe do network reset if that didn't help
