Do you get much service in more remote places like Newfoundland?

Geographically, speaking much of the country isn't covered by any cell phone carrier/network.  Whether it works well for you depends on where you want to use it.  I've been reading around here about this and have looked at some Telus coverage maps and places that never had any service recently tend to be doing so with only LTE. In such a place, data and text messaging would work at Public Mobile, but phone calls would not.

The island look relatively good, but Labrador looks to have almost no coverage, likely because of a lower population.

On the Telus website coverage page at https://www.telus.com/en/bc/mobility/network/coverage-map?linktype=content_panel , you can uncheck 4g LTE and LPWA to make sure that there is HSPA+ (required for vocie calls at Public Mobile) in your area.

@EDC1

Public mobile uses both Telus and Bell towers.  Overall, good coverage across Canada.  Not sure about remote areas in NFL.
