Just wondering if anyone using Public Mobile with an Android phone has issues with receiving texts from an iPhone? Or has had any network issues with texts messages that were supposed to be sent to you get sent to someone else's phone? Please any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Aside from doing the same with the Apple device, try adjusting Chat messages options on the Android device

  1. Go under Messaging app,
  2. click 3 little dots top right,
  3. select Settings,
  4. under Chat settings, scroll to "Select default messaging type",
  5. toggle it to Automatic or Text/multimedia msg

@Flip_phone_era ,

Try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode

*enable SMS

*enable MMS (toggle data on when sending/receiving MMS)

*turn iMessage off, then back on

*check for any iOS software updates

*Sign out and back in to iMessage and FaceTime

  1. Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
  2. Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
  3. On your iPhone first, sign back in to iMessage and Facetime.
  4. Sign back in to iMessage and Facetime on your other devices.

*Reset your network settings

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

I never have any issues by sending any message from an iPhone to my Samsung phone vice versa.

Going to Settings>Messages>enable Send as SMS and enable MMS Messages.

Also check if Show Contact Photos is enabled.

You will notice that your response on your iPhone will be green bubble if the message is sent by an Android and blue bubble if message was sent by an iPhone.

Did you used to have an iPhone device? It's possible that your phone numberr is still liniked to that iMessage account.

iPhone devices often don't deliver message by SMS from other iPhone users but rather use a chat application to deliver them through the internet. Check that your contacts have both SMS and iMessage enabled.
