I just activated a brand new account.  It's all good online, but on my phone it says SIM network PIN blocked.  Enter SIM network PUK.

What does this mean?

Where To Find Your PUK

A Personal Unlocking Key, or PUK code, allows you to reset your SIM card’s PIN number, after you’ve entered an incorrect PIN three times. To get your PUK code, please start a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon, to submit a ticket to the Moderator Team by clicking here.

Moderators can't provide a customer with the SIM Network PUK unless the phone is locked to Telus, Koodo, or Public.  In that situation, the member would not have been prompted by the device to enter this code when turning on the phone with a Public Mobile SIM card in it.

@cuvy69 It means that your phone isn't unlocked. Call the old carrier for unlock code and master unlock code.

you can get it via live chat

1) The Master Code Key (MCK), also known as a DEFREEZE or UNFREEZE CODE and/or;

2) A Network Control Key (NCK) also known as an Network Unlocking Code (NUC). This is the main network unlocking code.

Both of these codes can be obtained directly from Samsung via their live chat feature in a matter of minutes

.. not sure.  But try to contact Samsung online support.   We saw report back that people can it from Samsung easily

Yes it is a Samsung. But we didn't transfer anything over.  It's not had a SIM card in it for several years.

@cuvy69   is yours a Samsung phone?

"SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK." is asking for the phone’s (often Samsung) “master code" after entering the wrong code too many times. Samsung support can give you this.
