this seems to be an abnormal length of time and the SIM card update is not completing.
SIM card was purchased from PublicMobile
What should I do to get my phone operational?

@shaaron did you port your number when activating? If you did, it can take up to 3 hours if from a cell provider and up to 7 days if a land line. You should be able to make Calls and send texts with the PM SIM and receive calls and texts with your old providers SIM. Or you can download a free voip app such as TextNow or Fongo and use it over WiFi to make calls and texts. Welcome to PM. Stay safe.

@shaaron Can you try the process again. Clear cache/cookies and try using chrome in incognito mode. The selfserve site does take long but not that long. Try to put the new SIM in your phone do you get service ? Also rebooting the phone may help too !
