I have a family member that ported over from ROGERS prepaid Monday night.
Immediately after activating the public mobile SIM, the phone could send/receive texts via public mobile. The phoen could also making outgoing calls via public mobile (and the number ported in from ROGERS); however, calling the number would result in "The customer you are calling is unavailable".
The next day (about 12 hours later), it seems the port completed and now we can call into the number (ported from ROGERS to public mobile) and the phone either rings, or is put through to the public mobile voicemail.
If you just activated, try all these difference combinations (incoming/outgoing calls/texts) to see what if anything is working/doesnt work.
Sometimes ports can take a few hours. Having said that, it is likely still a good idea to message a MOD, since they can look into it for you; however, it might be useful to do some experimentation first - so that you could at least provide them with some more information..
