Just recieved the SIM card in the mail, activated it, and transfered the phone number.  But the phone does not receive calls or texts.  It can dial out, and the phone number is correct.  What am I doing wrong?

As per the info provided by @Anonymous if you did not reply YES to the PAT (porting authorization text) within 90 minutes of receiving it you need to reinitiate the port request. Put your lucky sim card back in your phone and with your lucky account # in hand call the telus porting department. You may still have time to do this tonight if you hurry. Check your private messages for the number.

hi

i joint public mobile, before i  connected lucky mobile. but i have problem outgoing call is going but incoming call  don't coming .already 24 hrs done.

so what should i do?

thanks

Mobile Number Port can take a little while to complete. It can be finished in minutes but still not uncommon to wait 1-2 business days before it fully sorts itself out.

Don't forget to restart your phone periodically until you know the MNP is finished.

@Pat63  Once you port over your number it will take up to 2 hours for the porting to complete depending on the provider. Rogers can sometimes take another hour or so to complete. Porting from Petrocan or koodo prepaid require taking a temporary number and moderator help. Speak out can take a couple of days and internet numbers and landlines a week or more. Once you can recieve texts and call it is done and your old account will be closed. If your incoming calling remains on your old SIM your port is stuck and you will need to contact the moderators. Give it 4 hours max then create a service ticket via Simon explaining your issue to the moderators by clicking on the (?) At the bottom right of your screen. Type in human or rep then follow the prompts to explain your issue and submit.

Edit: not petrocan pc mobility

If you have your Public Mobile sim card inserted in a compatible phone, nothing is currently wrong unless you receive a text message from Public Moible saying to contact them, or if the incoming text messages from other carriers and incoming phones calls don't start working after a few hours for a wireless to wrieless carrier phone number transfer.

You need to wait until your old provider to release your number to PM before you will receive text and call.  For the mean time, continue to use your old SIM card until it stops working.
